Metal Mash is not for the faint of heart! This day trip will test your vehicle and
driving knowledge as we traverse some of New England’s most challenging trails and obstacles. We
will be taking a challenging but fun ride over some of the trails that will test man and machine.
You will be using your mods, driving knowledge, and recovery gear to keep your vehicle and
pride through the trail. Camping is available 30 minutes from the start point for those that are
interested, the night before and after.

Required Equipment:
- 4X4 Overland Vehicle (with recovery gear, tools, and spares)
- GMRS radio, Mounted unit or Handheld (Preferable both)
Vehicle Requirements:
- 4X4 Street legal vehicle with Insurance
- 33-inch tires All Terrain or Mud Terrain Tires (good tread condition)
- Vehicle traction control or Rear Locker
- Rock Sliders
- Recovery points front and rear
- Full-size spare tire
- Radio communications (we use GMRS)
- Advanced Tool Kit with spare parts for your vehicle
- Tire deflator for airing down
- First Aid Kit appropriately sized for your vehicle and passengers.
- Appropriate Clothing and footwear for the conditions
- Vehicle Recovery Equipment
o Kinetic rope
o Shackles (multiple)
o Pulley block
o Winch line extension
o Gloves - A fun and exciting attitude
- Fire extinguisher
- On-Board Air set up for Tire Inflation

Trail Rating Scale
BLACK: Modified vehicles only. Drivers must have experience and not be afraid to scrape, scratch, dent, or possibly damage the vehicle. RED: Highly modified vehicles only. Damage likely and skilled driver is needed.
